Dr Claire Haven-Tang on social and economic local impact of hosting the 2017 Champions League Final in Cardiff and wider impact on Wales event and tourism industry.

Based on the Welsh Centre for Tourism Research analysis of both events to look at the contribution of large scale events for destination development and marketing.

Dr Claire Haven-Tang is the Associate Dean (Research) at the Cardiff School of Management, Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK.

Dr Ilaria Pappalepore and Dr Adam Eldridge on inclusivity, families, Christmas markets & festive spaces.

This podcast will explore if and how Christmas festive spaces and events, such as Christmas markets and Christmas illumination switch-on events, may provide the kind of family-friendly entertainment that can contribute to extending the urban leisure experience spatially (e.g. public parks during the coldest months), temporarily (at night) and for a wider range of audiences.
